- We serve the Memphis Union Mission on the 4th Saturday of every month.
- Our team prepares a meal for about 100 to 250 men.
- We also lead a worship service to end each night.
- If you would like to serve alongside our Memphis Union Mission team, either individually or with your small group or Sunday school class, please contact pastor Michael – mcarpenter@fbcob.org. Edwin Woods is our lead team member, so you will be put in contact with him.

DETAILS:
There are 3 separate ways to serve for each month. All info for each service opportunity is listed below:
🧑🍳 Prepare + Serve Meal

- We will cook for anywhere between 100 & 250 men. Please arrive at 3pm.
- You will enter through the gate on Washington Ave. Pull up, press the doorbell button on the box by the gate, and let them know why you are there to be let in the parking lot. You will then enter the building and head back to the kitchen. Edwin, or another leader, will help you know what needs to be done to cook, prep, and serve.
- After cooking, please stay to help serve the meal from 5p to 5:45p.
🎵 Lead Worship

- We usually like to lead out in a few songs before the sermon or testimony.
- We stop serving at 5:45p and the music would begin at 6p, so please arrive a little early to make sure you are ready to go by 6.
- You are more than welcome to come even earlier and help prep & serve the meal if you would like!
- There are hookups for instruments and a microphone and music stand is already available at the mission.
- You may lead by yourself or there is room for maybe up to 3 people total to lead.
- We recommend songs that are pretty recognizable, so the men feel more comfortable participating. At this time, there is no way to display lyrics.
📖 Preach/Share Testimony

- This is a great way to get to share the gospel or your testimony.
- Most of the men engage well and want to hear what is said.
- Please remember these men are just like you, but may be down own their luck right now. Encourage them and give them Jesus!
- Be prepared to present the gospel and give the men a way to respond, whether we can pray with them or the pastors at the mission can follow up.
- We recommend songs that are pretty recognizable, so the men feel more comfortable participating. At this time, there is no way to display lyrics.
