VISION & PURPOSE

Our Purpose

Our church exists for the Glory of God and the Mission of God. We believe the very best pathway to accomplish our purpose is helping every person in our community to Love God, Love People, and Live Sent.

> LOVE GOD.

As followers of Christ it is important for us to be engaged in worship, both privately and publicly.  We follow the example of Christ who often went to a solitary place to spend time alone with the Father in prayer and Scripture (Luke 5:16).  We also must make it a habit to gather regularly with other Christ-followers to encourage one another, study the Word, and worship the Lord together.  (Hebrews 10:24-25).

>> LOVE PEOPLE.

Love is the defining mark of the believer’s life, Jesus said “By this all people will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another”.  Love is the defining mark of a disciple and that love is best practiced in community with others.  We believe that the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) is a call for all believers to be engaged in making disciples.  As each believer grows as a disciple, the natural progression should lead to pouring into others through sharing the gospel, discipleship, and ministry.

>>> LIVE SENT.

Every believer is uniquely designed by God and has a story to share.  We encourage followers of Christ to discover how God has gifted them to serve through ministry and to share the gospel with others.  We desire to live on mission every day and in every aspect of their lives.  By studying the Word of God and asking the Holy Spirit to make us sensitive to those around us, we can become aware of many opportunities in our every-day lives to share the love of Christ.  We want live as missionaries in our homes, neighborhoods, city, nation, and the world!

For far too long, the church has been known for what it is against. We should be known for what (or who) we are FOR.

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” —Romans 8:31
